Top 5 Strengths: Harmony, Futuristic, Consistency, Communication, Relator

Joey Kaplan, alongside his wife Tyra, a fellow UNL graduate, founded Cedar Creek Coffee & Art. Specializing in espresso, tea, and smoothies, they have been actively selling for two months, following two and a half years of preparation. Currently, they operate a coffee van around Omaha, aiming for a future brick-and-mortar store in West Omaha while continuing the van service.

Their target audience includes pop-up locations and vendor markets, with plans to cater to 20-40-year-old coffee and art enthusiasts once the store opens. A pivotal moment for Joey was securing funding and balancing startup costs. He leveraged his network, valuing word-of-mouth and referrals.

Cedar Creek Coffee & Art prides itself on high-quality drinks, sourcing coffee from JBC Roasters in Madison, WI, a true “Farm to roaster” operation. They also prioritize local products for their tea, smoothies, and merchandise, supporting other local businesses.

Joey and Tyra’s journey is marked by dedication to quality and community engagement, with a clear vision for growth and sustainability in the Omaha area.
