What I Built
I launched Tecnocursos, a massive e-commerce operation, and founded Cursos IPN, a thriving language school offering English and Portuguese lessons that reached a milestone turnover of $50K USD for the first time in the company's history. My e-commerce ventures now sell over 1M USD through platforms like Mercado Libre and Amazon.
What I'm proud of
I am incredibly proud of turning a severe crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic into an opportunity. When my student body enrollment plummeted by 80%, I pivoted to selling webcams on Mercado Libre. This adaptability not only saved my business but allowed me to build capital, purchase a home, and eventually take my parents on a trip to Washington, D.C.—the very city that gave me my first international business experience.
Who it helps
Through Cursos IPN, I help students access quality language education to expand their global opportunities. Through my trading company, I provide essential technology and goods to consumers across Mexico, working with major partners like Office Depot to ensure supply meets demand.
Background
In 2017, as a high school student at CECyT 5, I won the Young Entrepreneurs in Mexico City competition out of 15,000 participants who took the EP10 assessment. This earned me the chance to pitch my "Uber for plumbers" app idea to Gallup CEO Jim Clifton in Washington, D.C. After enrolling at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), I launched my tutoring business, which set the foundation for my current entrepreneurial endeavors. My journey illustrates that successful entrepreneurship requires discipline, preparation, and the ability to spot opportunities when they arise.
