Paxton Brittingham

As a good friend of Paxton’s, I have had a front row seat to her successes in the past year. She is a member of the UNL Builders 2019 cohort, alongside me. The summer after her junior year of college, she was looking for something better than just your average internship experience. She wanted to use her strengths and passion for entrepreneurship as soon as possible. 

In July of 2021, she decided to apply online to LINK x LOU after seeing some friends get linked in Dallas earlier that summer. After a few weeks, she started the search process again since she hadn’t heard anything back yet. However, at the end of August, she was offered an interview with LINK x LOU. She has since learned that only 10% of applicants get offered an interview. As the process continued, she was hired, went to training in Denver in October, then launched LINK x LOU Lincoln on November 3rd, 2021. 

After her first private party, she knew this was something she really enjoyed. She picked up speed, having consistent private parties and pop-ups until going full time in January of 2022 after graduation. Her love grew for her work and so did her sales. In April, not only did she hit top sales, but she also broke the company record for amount of sales in one month. 

Prior to her time with LINK x LOU, she was an intern in Dallas for Milestone. So, she hired and trained new linkers for Lincoln and Omaha who took over in May when she moved to Dallas for the summer. In August of this year, she will take over as the ‘city lead’ for Kansas City. As the city lead, she will be in charge of two other linkers, manage schedules, and do all social media and customer service.

Through her time so far with LINK x LOU, she has learned so much about herself and the community she is working in. For example, she thought she knew the city of Lincoln since she had lived there her whole college career, but after hosting many pop-ups and private parties, her view of Lincoln grew immensely. She loved getting to know the small business community within Lincoln and all the great people that come along with it. This is also what she is mostly looking forward to as she starts in Kansas City.

Paxton is the walking definition of turning passion into work. She pours herself into her company and the people she serves. LINK x LOUis better because she is part of it.
