About our Coach
Brianna Ridenour (she/her) earned a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University (CSU). In her current role as Assistant Director of Adult Learner and Veteran Services, she oversees the ALVS Peer Advisors, ELEVATE (ALVS’ Summer Bridge), and the ALVS section of IU-172. In her leisure time, Brianna enjoys disc golfing, geocaching, hiking, attending concerts, and bowling.
Reflecting on her personal journey as a neurodivergent first-generation student, Brianna understands the challenges of feeling isolated and the difficulty in seeking assistance. She acknowledges that individuals may struggle to identify the support they need or how others can assist, often due to a strong sense of independence. Consequently, she is dedicated to building relationships to ensure that everyone she interacts with knows they have her as part of their support system throughout their academic and professional journey.
Brianna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), majoring in Human Resources Management. During this time, she became a certified Student CliftonStrengths coach through the Clifton Foundation and was actively involved in UNL’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives. Her passion for Student Affairs led her to become a NASPA Undergraduate Fellow (NUFP) and participate in NASPA Region IV-W. After graduation, she interned at the University of Notre Dame as one of their inaugural Student Development Interns, contributing to projects for the Student Development Team, Student Activities Office, Multicultural Student Programs and Services, Family Resource Center, and Summer Bridge for Student Athletes. Prior to attending CSU, Brianna served for two years as an AmeriCorps member and College Access Coach with the nonprofit organization College Possible in Omaha, Nebraska.
Brianna’s CliftonStrengths are Achiever, Responsibility, Adaptability, Learner, and Arranger.
